Nationwide Poweroutage June 17,2019

Happy Fathers Day! My dad is the greatest, and he exemplifies the Savior in so many ways. I have learned to love my redeemer by my Dads example and love for him. "Noble Fatherhood gives us a glimpse of the Divine" - James E Faust.  Here's a great video everyone should watch! https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=R5FxdCgD-qI I also talked to my Grandpa for a few minutes yesterday, and I talked with him in Spanish for the first time, which was one of the coolest experiences I've had, and it sure made my day! On Sunday there was a poweroutage in all of Argentina, and like 3 other countries in South America, and that was quite the experience. Church was held in the dark which was a first for me, but the Spirit was still felt, and we had some people come to Church for the first time and that want to come back! (hopefully well have light this time haha) This week I went on Splits with Elder BOOZE, and that man is a beast! he rides his bike so dang fast I was barely keeping up! I

Pure Love of Christ June 10,2019

This week was a little nuts with all the propaganda for the city elections, and everybody was involved. That made it a little hard to talk to people or get them to church but elections were this Sunday so we good! Everyone should have more time to talk now. Johana, the girl we were teaching back in embarcacion got baptized! i attached a pic below! We had never tried contacting in the park, but wanted to try it, so we went and starting to talk to everyone we could see. We saw this lady sitting on a bench and she looked pretty sad so we decided to go and talk to her. It turned out she was just really tired, but she had talked to missionaries before and we ended up having a great talk with her. my shoes have a huge hole in them! (pic below) My favorite thing is riding our bikes at night through  Argentina's countryside. The moon lights the way and you can see so many stars and I just take it in! I have so much love for our God and for what he has made for us, and  I'm  striving to

I love famailla! This was such a good week and I saw the hand of the Lord in so many ways! My companion Elder Jones is a stud and we get along really well. Hes also my first Gringo companion since my training so I have spoken more english in a week than have in 8 months!  idk if thats good or bad haha but im loving the mission. Its also getting pretty cold!! This is my first biking area and so far have broken my bike twice...ill get the hang of it. I got to this area and there were so many people that have been prepared by missionaries from before, and now we are seeing the fruits of their efforts! This truly is the work of God, and I love seeing the greatness of God in the small and simple things. This sunday was a little miracle because we got there and nobody was there! we waited another 10 minutes and still nobody was there exept for us and President. We had fasted and prayed and put in a ton a work that week, and then out of nowhere everybody showed up at once

Short letter today because I'm being transferred back to Tucuman! I'll be in an area in ConcepciĆ³n called Famailla or something like that, and I'll be travelling all day! I have loved my time here in Embarcacion. Its pretty small, but feels like one big family, and I've grown to love the members and the people we teach so much! I also love my savior Jesus Christ. I know that he lives and that he is the Redeemer of the world. I have seen the power of his Atonement these past few months in the lives of his children, and it is only through him that we find lasting happiness! here's some pics of some amazing people!

Dengue Fever May 20,2019

FEVER. This week i got pretty sick with a high fever. It started to take its toll in Lunch in a members house, and everyone started to say it was Dengue and that i should go to the Doctor! Seeing as there is a dengue EPIDEMIC here in northern Argentina I figured they could be right and we went to the doctor to check my blood. Were still waiting for the results, but i feel all good now so don't worry, I don't have Dengue! I was in bed for most of the day Wednesday but I asked Elder Gonzalez for a blessing and I'm feeling a lot better!  Wednesday was his birthday, so naturally I made him some banana bread (the only thing I kinda know how to make haha) GOD IS GOOD. We are teaching this amazing family right now and I just love them. They live in this abandoned warehouse that doesn't have electricity and they are the happiest people I know! They know they don't have much but they realize that its not the things in life that are important.  they have their family, which i
