The Book of Mormon a Missionary Oct 7th 2019

Hello everybody,

This week was pretty great, but the best part was definitely General
Conference. Every 6 months we have the opportunity to hear the
prophets and apostles of our day, and Im so grateful to be a member of
this Church and for the truths that were taught this weekend.

The Prophet assured the world that revelation continues in this day
and age. Im grateful for the spirit that I felt and for the
perspective the Plan of Salvation brings to my life. Ive realized the
need I really have to repent daily so I can return to the presence of
my Father in Heaven changed.

I understand the need to make covenants with God and the Joy that
comes from keeping them.

They talked a lot about the will of God and how when we submit our
will to his, we find a happiness that is consistent and resilient.

And as a missionary I get to teach these truths to Gods children, help
them come unto Christ, and make covenants with their God. I remember
feeling so grateful for having grown up in the Church, and love that
each day I get to make these things known to the people of Argentina!

This week we also had Zone council and leadership council. A lot of
meetings but it was great to talk about the needs of our zones and the
missionaries in them. President talked a lot about the Book of Mormon
and the power it has in itself to invite the spirit unto conversion.
Those who read it with real intent feel the spirit, and come to know
for themselves the reality of the restoration of the Church of Jesus
Christ.

Also Caterina is getting married this weekend and then baptized! its
pretty exciting and we are super happy for her and her family.

So a lot happened this week but more than anything, my testimony of the power of the Holy ghost was strengthened. We have been teaching this lady named Elizebeth. Well she came to church this Sunday and she offered to say the last prayer in her class and started to cry. Elder pekins and I saw it from a distance and he gave me a fat hug haha we were so happy for her. She felt the spirit in that moment and later shared with us how she received an answer that the Book of Mormon is true. After a lesson with her she asked, "so when can we put a date for my baptism?" We were amazed! That's normally something we invite the people to do, but I guess the spirit beat us to it. And that's how it should be I guess, because conversion comes through the Holy Ghost. Also shout out to my companion for always being intune with the spirit. Already Two Weeks!

Que Pasa Calabazas! I cant believe its been two weeks here. Ever since the first day time has flown by! The language was coming so quickly and I learned so much in the first week, I just need to make sure that I keep learning and dont get stagnant. Also things have gotten into a rythm here so its jsut been a blur!  On thursday, it was our last lesson with daniela and it went really well. I feel like we followed the spirit and were able to answer her questions about baptism! Friday We prepared for our next people we are teaching, Ignasio and Salma! we also did a service project during gym time and that was awsome!  Saturday, We had our first lesson with ignasio and we learned alot! we kinda overwhelmed him with info when we should have realized that he had a limited knowledge of God. Jesucristo Basta- April 22, 2019

This week was amazing. We are working pretty hard in an area that's pretty hard, but in my 3 months here I've seen a change and I know the Lord has big plans for his children here in Embarcacion. Some Experiences from this week. As we were walking in the street we heard a huge rumbling in the distance, and we couldn't figure out what it was. It sounded like a crowd cheering or something like that.  After a little bit we realized that it was RAIN! And it was coming FAST. The streets turned to mud in seconds and we began running from literal wall of rain. WE got soaked but ran to a nearby house of someone we are teaching! Another day we were walking and a little girl in front of us was with her family. She turned around and asked us about the people that hurt Jesus. We had never talked to them before, but she seemed to recognize us as servants of the Lord, and we began talking to her and her family about Christ, and our message, and we set up another appointme
