The Power of the Fast Oct 14, 2019

Well this week was full of great experiences! It was also SUPER
SUPER HOT so we kinda died a bit walking in the street but were all
good.
These are the days when you work hard throughout the day, and when you
get back to the apartment you're exhausted, but in the end you've never
been more content or happy. Its a good life

CLAUDIA is so great and she even came to church this Sunday! (fasting
works miracles) when we met her she said she didn't see the point in
going to church, but on Thursday we taught her about the Sabbath day
and the need to make covenants(or promises) with God. We shared our
testimonies and she ended up agreeing to coming to church! It was
amazing and at church that day I felt the spirit very strongly.

On Friday CATERINA was married and then baptized!! Her whole journey
has been a miracle. Both her and her husband are striving to make
changes in their lives, and to follow the savior, and its been great
to share that journey with them.

Saturday the Hermanas from La Loma invited us to help them with a
Plaza Abierta, which is basically where we put up stands in the park
with signs of The Book of Mormon, and then we talked with everybody in
the park. Although its always a little awkward at first, we ended up
finding some amazing people to talk to. The majority had seen the
missionaries before but never had talked to them. We were able to talk
and resolve any doubts they had and teach them about Christ´s restored
church! It was a lot of fun just talking with all the people we could
and inviting them to learn a little more about their savior.

So a lot happened this week but more than anything, my testimony of the power of the Holy ghost was strengthened. We have been teaching this lady named Elizebeth. Well she came to church this Sunday and she offered to say the last prayer in her class and started to cry. Elder pekins and I saw it from a distance and he gave me a fat hug haha we were so happy for her. She felt the spirit in that moment and later shared with us how she received an answer that the Book of Mormon is true. After a lesson with her she asked, "so when can we put a date for my baptism?" We were amazed! That's normally something we invite the people to do, but I guess the spirit beat us to it. And that's how it should be I guess, because conversion comes through the Holy Ghost. Also shout out to my companion for always being intune with the spirit. Already Two Weeks!

Que Pasa Calabazas! I cant believe its been two weeks here. Ever since the first day time has flown by! The language was coming so quickly and I learned so much in the first week, I just need to make sure that I keep learning and dont get stagnant. Also things have gotten into a rythm here so its jsut been a blur!  On thursday, it was our last lesson with daniela and it went really well. I feel like we followed the spirit and were able to answer her questions about baptism! Friday We prepared for our next people we are teaching, Ignasio and Salma! we also did a service project during gym time and that was awsome!  Saturday, We had our first lesson with ignasio and we learned alot! we kinda overwhelmed him with info when we should have realized that he had a limited knowledge of God. This week was amazing. We are working pretty hard in an area that's pretty hard, but in my 3 months here I've seen a change and I know the Lord has big plans for his children here in Embarcacion. Some Experiences from this week. As we were walking in the street we heard a huge rumbling in the distance, and we couldn't figure out what it was. It sounded like a crowd cheering or something like that.  After a little bit we realized that it was RAIN! And it was coming FAST. The streets turned to mud in seconds and we began running from literal wall of rain. WE got soaked but ran to a nearby house of someone we are teaching! Another day we were walking and a little girl in front of us was with her family. She turned around and asked us about the people that hurt Jesus. We had never talked to them before, but she seemed to recognize us as servants of the Lord, and we began talking to her and her family about Christ, and our message, and we set up another appointme
